Some of our families have taken the opportunity to write us and share their appreciation and how their lives were changed through involvement with our services.  To protect, respect, and honor the confidentiality of our families, we have omitted the identities and personal information from the letters we've received and shared their letters with their permission.

“When I was first introduced to the PFC program, I was extremely skeptical of what it had to offer my family.  My first meeting with Violeta Byram, PFC Coordinator, was encouraging and uplifting.

I realized I was finally talking with someone who understood what my challenges were with my son, and my frustrations.  Violeta responded with sincerity, constant attention, respect, and listening; often offering advice and steps I could take to eliminate the challenges.

I was extremely impressed with how quickly Violeta found resources and sent them to me allowing me to choose a psychologist and primary physician, which inspired me to get a dentist and eye doctor set in place.  The first time my son and I went to the psychologist, Violeta met us at the office which I found to be very comforting.  It showed my son and I that she truly cared.

Violeta checked upon on us regularly, and always sent our meeting paperwork encrypted protecting my family’s confidentiality.  I felt a sense of peace knowing I could call Violeta when I became frustrated or challenged and she would talk with me easing my fears, encouraging me to move forward and offering suggestions.

My son appreciated that Violeta made him feel like a part of the meetings, asking him how he was doing and allowing him to voice his opinions.

Through all of this I received a healthier relationship with my son, I learned to be more supportive of his needs, and take time to listen to what he is saying.

I would recommend PFC to anyone needing help.  I will forever be grateful for all PFC did.”

“Our experience with Mrs. Violeta and Park Family Connections was heartwarming and uplifting.

Park Family Connections were there to help whenever I thought everything was going under and they offered a helping hand.

Park Family Connections have made us feel like there is a chance out there, where people and communities still care.  You guys listened to what was going on and always helped in one way or another, always trying to find a way no matter the obstacle my family had.

Mrs. Violeta always listened to our needs and was there to lend an ear, even when she wasn't working.  This made us very grateful to know someone was there to help no matter the time or day.  We didn't feel so alone and lost.

My son was most excited about this program because he saw a change in me.  I wasn't so down in the dumps worrying all the time.  He also loved our meetings at the school when he was able to attend because he got to see Mrs. Violeta.  He adored her warm heart and attention towards our feelings and needs.  He felt safe around her.

Thank you all again for all you have done from my son and I.  I honestly don't think we could have overcome some of our obstacles without this program.”

“PFC has definitely enhanced my family life, for it has offered me resources and support for an issue that has dogged my family for years and put significant strain on all family members.  Knowing such a support system has greatly reduced the feelings of helplessness that threatened to push me further into the abyss.

If it weren't for PFC, I would not be aware of 95% of the resources I have been presented with and have since utilized.  This has been one of the most tremendous benefits for my family and me because I don't believe I would have found them or even known to look for them on my own.  Some resources like the food pantry I didn't even know existed in my area or that I even qualified for it.

I highly recommend PFC as a great community resource and family advocate.”

“Where to begin?  This was such a life-changing program that I can't help but tear up writing about my journey.  I was tired of asking for help that judged but never came.  I was sick of explaining myself to a vacant crowd.  I slowly accepted that getting put down was just what a single mom got.  The Program Coordinator empowered me. She supported me and picked me up when I fell.  She understood I was only one person and set reasonable expectations and goals.

She had an army of people working with and for me, and the result was getting set up in a very peaceful new home and setting us up for a future.  My family and I are eternally grateful to her and the people supporting this wonderful program.  Thank you again for everything!  We couldn't have done this without you all!”
